This is us
Hi from us - Will, Kayla, Matilda and Archie
Our unique name, inspired by both Australia and England's national emblems, represents the fusion of our family. Will (Photographer & Dad) grew up in the historic town of Nantwich, in North-West England. Kayla (Editor and Mum) grew up in Sydney; where we met, quit our jobs, and hit the open roads of Australia in our trusty camper. A time that shaped our love of freedom, adventure, and storytelling.
In 2017, we moved to the UK and started Epps Photography. In 2022, we welcomed our daughter Matilda into the world, and not long after, we returned to Australia so she could grow up by the golden beaches of Lake Macquarie. In 2024, our family grew again with the arrival of our sweet boy, Archie. Matilda and Archie are the heart behind our business, half English, half Australian, they truly are our Wattle and our Rose.
Our parents did a fantastic job of documenting our childhoods, whilst going through album after album during lockdowns in the UK, it dawned on us what makes a truly fantastic photo. It's not perfect posing or scripted directions, it's moments & emotions. Often the blurry, out of focus, poorly exposed, but perfectly timed shots were the ones that really stood out, & took us back to that exact moment in time.
Capturing moments like this instantly became our favourite past-time, it's our hobby & our passion. (We do get them in focus more than our parents did though).

From the moment we arrived, Will made us feel completely at ease , even with our cheeky girls! What started as nervous giggles quickly turned into laughter and fun, and somehow, he managed to capture every authentic, joyful moment in between.
Will has a natural gift for working with families (especially kids!) and made the whole experience relaxed, memorable, and genuinely enjoyable.
